Welcome to the Wicked Indulgence Podcast where, host Jessica and Co-Hosts Kevin, delve into the world of guilty pleasure media! Each episode, they share their unique perspectives on movies, TV shows, books, and more, proving that indulgence in entertainment is a delightful necessity.

Hi, my name is Jessica :-)

I am an illustrator, visual artist who has a passion for creating vibrant, colorful and healing pieces that embody the beauty and whimsy that is in the world. For this reason, I especially love working on pieces that not only bring out the inner child, but also pieces that reflect my healing journey. My goal is to help others also feel seen in their own healing , and also show that you can still carry whimsy even through the difficult times.

Although I love painting for myself in my studio - I love talking all things movies, books and video games. I love the art of storytelling, and the creative process that it takes to make the entertainment we all love and enjoy.

My dream as a child was to work in animation, but life had other plans. I started the Wicked Indulgence Podcast with my husband because even though I can’t be in the creative room I can at least talk about my passion and try new media along the way.

I’m also known as Comika_Illustration on Instagram, so if you want to follow feel free, or if you want to see a full collection of my work you can also do that here. I just love to share my passion and joy of the arts in all its forms. Thanks for being here!

My name is Kevin. I grew up in Southern California, near Los Angeles. I spent most of my days skateboarding, playing Hockey, playing video games, or riding dirt bikes with my buddies. The town I grew up in was constantly being used to film movies, T.V. shows, and commercials. It was really common to see film crews showing up, or roads getting closed down for open sets, and seeing the project boards taped to power poles and street signs for directions to sets where filming was happening.

As a part of that, Hollywood news and gossip, as well as having a strong cultural sense of enjoying movies were super strong in my hometown. We all watched movies, all the time. Good ones, bad ones, and everything in-between. I have seen A LOT of movies, and I feel like I have a pretty good perspective of movies in general as a result of where I grew up. I also knew a few of the people who worked for the studios in various ways for their careers, so I got to hear a lot of really cool behind the scenes stories from the people that worked around the actors, and on set quite a bit, up until 2005, when I moved out to Indiana.

Today, I work as a Utility Lineman ( I build power lines for all you beautiful people), I still try to play hockey, and I enjoy video production as a hobby, but one thing that has never changed, is my love for watching good movies. Jess and I still really enjoy sitting on the couch, with popcorn (and a glass of whiskey sometimes) and watching what the studios are pouring their hearts and minds into. I have always liked a good story, and I've always enjoyed talking about it afterwards. I feel like it brings us closer together. I’m stoked to have you guys here to listen in on our humble opinions, and come to know us a little better as well!
